October 23, 2013: Last Chance to be Heard: BC Gov Wraps Up Liquor Review

HERE’S HOW THE CHAT WENT:

Last Chance to be Heard: BC Gov Wraps Up Liquor Review

It has been almost 2 months since the British Columbia government began a comprehensive review or our province’s liquor regulations.  Early in September we did a #BCWineChat about what you’d like to see changed and now that the review window is closing we thought it would be good for you to get one last chance to speak up, let the government know what is REALLY important to you.

Join us at 8pm Wednesday for an hour of discussion about this very important review process.  After all, you are the most important stakeholder being consulted…the voting public.

October 16, 2013: #AddBCWineToAMovie

HERE’S HOW THE CHAT WENT:

#AddBCWineToAMovie

Tonight we’re having a little fun and adding anything BC wine (wineries, people, varieties etc) to a movie.  If that fails, we will just talk about wines you like to drink while lounging around the home.  Either way, get yourself a glass of something BC and join us!

October 9, 2013: BC Merlot

HERE’S HOW THE CHAT WENT:

BC Merlot

BC’s still most widely planted red variety–there must be something about it that keeps people buying.  Stop in on the chat to discuss BC Merlots–it will be a good primer for the Global Celebration of Merlot -the next day, October 10 under the hashtag #MerlotMe.

Pull up a bottle of your favourite BC Merlot and join us!

September 25, 2013: Sampling Charges at BC Tasting Rooms

HERE’S HOW THE CHAT WENT:

Sampling Charges at BC Winery Tasting Rooms

Consumers and travelers find many different options in this great province of ours when it comes to sampling wines at winery tasting rooms.  Some do not charge, some charge but then refund if you purchase, some conduct longer tours or tastings that are arranged ahead of time for a fee and many other possibilities.

What goes into making these decisions at wineries and what goes through the head of a consumer when faced with these various scenarios?

Tonight’s topic brings you into the tasting rooms or BC and we hope you’ll join us!
